Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of this website — browsing the site, viewing the digital menu, and generating QR codes. They are not restaurant booking or ordering terms, since this site does not offer those yet.

Who these terms are between

This website is operated by CUC — Cafe Under Construction, 1st Floor, Kanneri Arcade, Opp. Traffic Enforcement Unit, East Ottapalam, Kerala. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CUC, and “you” means anyone using the site.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this website is

It is an information website: a landing page, a digital menu, and a QR code generator for our tables. Browsing it does not create any booking, order, or contract between us. Visiting us in person and ordering at the cafe is governed by what happens at the cafe, not by this page.

Menu and pricing

Prices and items shown on the digital menu are indicative and are subject to change without notice. We try to keep the menu current, but the price and availability confirmed to you in the cafe or at the table at the time of ordering is the one that applies. An item shown as available online may occasionally be out of stock in the cafe.

RC Play Zone

The RC Play Zone lets you drive real remote-control construction vehicles at your table. Session lengths and prices shown on the digital menu are indicative, same as the rest of the menu.

Using the RC Play Zone is subject to the safety rules and staff instructions posted at the RC Play Zone counter in the cafe. By using it, you agree to follow those rules and any instruction from our staff, and we may end a session early for safety reasons. This website does not itself set out those rules — they are posted and explained in person, because they concern real equipment in a shared space.

A written waiver or consent form for the RC Play Zone, if the cafe wants one, is a decision for the business and its own legal advice, not something this website page can create on its own.

Using the site

You are welcome to use this site for any lawful purpose. Please do not:

  • use it in a way that breaks any law, or that infringes anybody else’s rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any system connected to it;
  • interfere with the site’s operation, including by overloading it or introducing anything malicious;
  • scrape, copy or systematically extract the site’s content for republication, without our written permission.

Our content

The text, design, layout, graphics, logo and code on this website belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property law.

You may browse the site, print pages from it, and share links to it. You may not republish, sell, licence or commercially exploit any part of it without our written permission.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another website or service — WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Maps, or a phone dialer — we do so for your convenience. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement. Once you follow one, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply to you.

Availability

We try to keep this site available and working, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it — including these terms — at any time without notice. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from reliance on anything published on it, including loss of profit, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

This limitation applies to the website only. It does not limit any liability we owe you in connection with your visit to the cafe itself, including use of the RC Play Zone, which is governed separately by the in-cafe rules referred to above and by applicable Indian law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this website, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Palakkad, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction.
