CUC is Kerala's first fully construction-themed cafe — real, drivable RC construction vehicles on-site, so you can operate an excavator, a dump truck or a crane while your order comes up.
Mini Excavators
Scoop, swing and dump with a working RC excavator right at your table's construction zone.
Dump Trucks
Load up and haul it out — remote-control dump trucks for the kids (and the kids at heart).
Tower Cranes
Hoist, swing and place — our signature crane rig, the same one that lowers the CUC sign.

What is Cafe Under Construction (CUC)?
CUC is Kerala's first fully construction-themed cafe, in East Ottapalam, Palakkad. You can drive real RC (remote-controlled) construction vehicles — mini excavators, dump trucks and a crane — at our indoor RC Play Zone while you eat.
How much does RC play cost?
RC Play Zone sessions start at ₹249 for one person (20 minutes). 40-minute sessions and group rates are available: two people from ₹399, three from ₹599, and a family package (2 adults + 2 kids) from ₹799. Combo deals from ₹559 include a salad, a juice and RC play time.
How does the RC Play Zone work?
Pick a session at the counter, choose a mission from our mission cards, and take the controls — scoop, load, hoist and dump at your table's construction zone while your food is prepared.
Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-ins are welcome. For weekends, groups and birthday parties, message us on WhatsApp at +91 89214 88787 to reserve your slot.

Yes — the RC Play Zone is built for kids and adults alike, and the family session covers 2 adults and 2 kids.
Do you have vegetarian food?
Yes. The menu marks every item veg or non-veg — vegetarian burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps and starters, plus fresh juices, shakes and mojitos.
Can we host a birthday party at CUC?
